You've heard of her before, Jenny Bowen, founder of Half The Sky Foundation. She's wanting to carry the torch for all of China's orphans and is asking for everyone to jump online and cast a vote for her. You can check out her message that has been pasted onto this post.
There are many who read this site from points outside the U.S. Please do not let nationality get in the way ... Jenny will make us all proud!

Help Half the Sky children carry Olympic torch
Sat Sep 29, 2007 8:30 pm (PST)
Hello again-
Our volunteers in Wuhan had a great idea. It may be possible for some of our Half the Sky children to carry the Olympic torch next year. I've entered a contest sponsored by the China Daily Newspaper and, if I can get enough votes from netizens all over the world, I may be able to have that honor. If it happens, I will run with 8 children from 8 orphanages in China. Believe me, I am no runner. But I would dearly love to give the children a place at the party. Please take a moment and vote for me right now:

We need a LOT of votes. Please pass this on to your friends and family.
Thanks and love,
Jenny
