Finding Ads Help Piece Their Lives Together

Trying to gather together the few pieces of our daughter's history in China was made a bit easier after we learned about the art of locating "finding ads." Soon after retuning from China in October 2004, we signed up with Brian Stuy's company. Within a couple of months, Reseach-China provided us with our finding ad, and a copy of the newspaper that published her ad.

Unfortunately, these "finding ads" are a legacy of China's One-Child Policy. So, as long as abandonment continues, so will these ads.

The middle ad, which announces our daughter's abandonment, reads: "Ning Yuqing, a girl; birth date 11/2/03, finding date 11/3/03, found abandoned at Da Kao Chang #63; She has double-eyelids and light skin."

One can only wonder the emotional turmoil this infant girl experienced without the cuddle or warm embrace of her mother. Now, she is kissed and cuddled to sleep, every night.
