Bring Me Hope has produced a very moving, short video that depicts the life of children in China, beginning with the abadonment of a baby girl. This has been viewed on several other websites, however, the original source can be found at Bring Me Hope.
This five minute video is quite captivating, and with each viewing brings a host of thoughts, memories, sadness and the quiet calm of happiness. Few productions have been so moving as this.
I first heard of Bring Me Hope in December 2006, as it was announced on KPBS public radio Nickel Creek would be performing a benefit concert to support this organization, which is located in Fallbrook, California, just north of San Diego. To hear Sarah Watkins, Nickel Creek's vocalist and fiddle player, speak of her commitment to helping orphaned children in China, I needed no more "convincing," and attended the event. Not only was the entertainment from this Grammy winning band a lot of fun, but the message carried that night did much to help continue the good work that this is doing in China.
And, I especially like what Bring Me Hope has planned during the Beijing Olympics!
